  • s Remarks TALISMAN is a perfect vintage gentleman's sailing yacht designed in 1919 by the great Henry Rasmussen. She has a perfect size for regattas, family sailing and social cruising with guests. Yet being a vintage yacht she does not lack modern luxury for a pleasant life on board. An unique yacht with perfect lines turning heads and attracting attention wherever she sails. Although totally renovated in 2006 she was 2006 approved by CIM as close and true to her original. In summary - an ideal stylish and beautiful mid-size gentleman's yacht. The history of yacht and other interesting facts can best be found at her webpage www.talisman.se . Normal maintenance i.e. painting of bulwarks, varnishing of deckhouses and masts, service engine and genset, check up sails etc is carried out on a regular basis (normal winter maintenance). Known defect:
  • Original bulwark as of 1920 still in place (rest of the hull been replaced to 70% 2001) however rust runnings keeps coming through i.e. most probably needs to be replaced in some 5-10 years (no structural purpose as such - a suggestion for the future) The test trial records are available from the launch from CONRAD Ship Yard in Gdansk 2006. This is however quite an extensive record and can be sent separately if needed. Test records from Germanischer Lloyd tests are also available. Items currently not on board but could be included in the sale: Winter tent with aluminium superstructure in high class PVC tarpaulinTeak planks from the same log as doghouse, skylights etcMahogany veneer from the same log as the interiorShip
  • s computer CCM XL Mk II with water proof touch screen w. NOBELTEC 9/Admiral charting solutionAIS interfacing with the ship
  • s computer Items currently on board but excluded from the sale: Some Swedish booksSwedish flags (x 3 pcs)Flag set A-Z, 0-9 TALISMAN - KSSS 1920 design lambswool knitted blue jumpers x 8 pcs Yacht's name and logo registered trademark in Sweden Broker
  • s Remarks TALISMAN is a delight. A very special restoration that has been thoughtfully executed. She is compact enough for family sailing and has a superb pedigree.
