Very good looking Niels Jeppesen that has circumnavigated the planet and been cherished all the way including mega nautical makeover 2007. Must be sold, bigger sister almost hatched
Brokers Comments This X-Yachts was project managed by us for the current owner, who has owned her since new. The aim was to equip the boat for independent long distance cruising with all imaginable comfort available on one hand and easy to handle by a limited crew (carbon mast, park avenue boom, electric winches...) She has a permanent crew (same skipper from the beginning!) and was always maintained to a very high standard. The boat was extensively refitted in 2007, and all the equipment changed is identified with "2007 or 2008" in the specification of extra equipment. I am confident that she is one of best X 612s on the market. The yacht has never been chartered. Owners Comments Our previous experience with sailing boats coupled with the expertise of X-Yachts personnel was probably the main reason that Karuba 4 was specified perfectly already from the first day she left the yard. She enables incredibly comfortable blue water cruising at for a cruiser relatively high average speeds, and represents, with all the equipment onboard, a great home while at rest. She is easier to use than we expected both due to the smart deck layout and chosen equipment Accommodation The yacht's wooden interior constructed in teak with hand polished satin finish. All joinery carried out in accordance with the best yacht practice (minimum of visible screws), and carefully designed to show off the fine wooden interior. The inner lining has integrated dome halogen spotlights. All windows and hatches have curtains and blinds. Handrails are fitted throughout. Interior flooring is light construction teak with light koto stripes - with core of 20 mm plastic honeycomb. ENTRANCE: Sliding hatch 15 mm plexiglass. Washboard: 12 mm plexiglass. Entrance ladder: curved laminated teak hung on moulded GRP unit. Lower part hinged for easy access to batteries/front of engine. MAIN CABIN, PORT: Two Wardrobes, large sofa, two settees surrounding oval table with built in bar. The lockers behind the large sofa are equipped to take bottles, glasses, and books. Freeboard lining: teak battens. MAIN CABIN STARBOARD: Navigation compartment with ample space for modern navigation/communication equipment and the yacht switch board. Navigation table has two seats/working stations. One for the navigator with electrical switch panel for navigation instruments and communication. The other has electrical switch panel for yacht's service facilities. Ample chart table space. Alongside a locker for navigation equipment. AFT CABINS: Two large cabins each with own head/shower facilities. Double berth, wardrobe and locker with shelves; large shelf outboard, Free board lining: teak battens. OWNER
