"Old Town" was built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1952 according to plans by Henry Rasmussen, the same plans that he used for his own yacht HERA but, in this case he used sloop rigs although she was turned to a yawl by Abeking & Rasmussen a few years later. The yacht was built for Mr Freese of Bremerhaven.
Totally restored during the years 2001/2002, she has been equipped with first class materials only, the originality has been kept following the plans provided by A & R according to the serial number 4819/ Year 1952.
Some of the materials that have been used are much modern and better than those used originally. The boat is in perfect condition and ready to sail. The Certificate of Navigation is valid until 2007 for Category C.
The hull comprises of mahogany, pine from Norway
Teak deck
Interior is finished in mahogany
Long keel made of lead and steel
